Hello, I am Nadja, the owner of the Nessentials online store. When I moved to my favorite place on earth, Sarasota, Florida, I had to figure out what kind of business I would like to open and looked around what I was missing. Soon it became clear, that I needed a broom, a "real" broom and that is how it all started. Over time, especially during my visits at the big trade fair "Ambiente" in Frankfurt, I learned more and more about the different materials and what is used for what (https://www.nessentials.com/material-knowledge) and discovered more and more German manufacturers making the best and most beautiful natural brooms and brushes for every purpose you can think of. As of now I carry a large selection of more than 500 different brushes from different German and one Swiss and one Dutch manufacturer. Why natural brushes? Because in my long time experience I realized, that natural hair or bristles just connect somehow with the dirt - and synthetic fibers - don't. That makes cleaning with natural materials much more efficient, faster and effective. Besides their effectiveness, natural brushes are long lasting with the proper care (https://www.nessentials.com/tips-for-care), and with that not only save you money in the long run, but also protect our environment because they are sustainable, ecological and biodegradable. For vegans there are lots of alternatives with only plant fibers, just not the brooms - they need to be made of horse hair to be really good. That said you might also know, that I try to use as minimal of packaging as possible, boxes are cut to minimum weight to save in shipping costs and the empty boxes that my brushes are delivered in from Germany are used as well as newspaper to stuff boxes if needed. For 7 years I had a store location in Sarasota which is closed now since the "Chalk Festival" had to move from our street to Venice, but I still showcase all brushes during select big market events for customers to experience the feel and variety of materials and brushes.
